[McNally, on the bridge]
McNally looked over at Operations and asked, "What's wrong?" The Ensign over at the operations console frantically tapped it and said, "I'm not sure ma'am. We're reading system failures all over the ship. Readings are jumping all over the place." Jennifer quickly sprang into action and said, "Tactical, secure all decks and make sure that no one gets into main engineering or the bridge without authorization. We need to be prepared for anything. Begin a system wide scan for any intruders. Open a channel to Captain McKnight."
"Ma'am," said the Ensign at operations, "Communication channels are down at the moment. I need thirty minutes to repair them. Permission to get to the communication arrays."
"Permission grant. Take a security officer with you, Ensign," said McNally.
