[ Cutting it close ] After what seemed like an eternity, the lift stopped at the Trinity’s docking bay. As T’Saylar stepped out, she saw that the crewmen by the hatch were preparing to seal the hatch shut. She picked up her pace, and began sprinting down the gangway for the hatch. She reached it as the door was closing, and stuck out her arm to prevent it closing as she pushed throughby Mike Schell - Valdivian Station / USS Trinity
[ Rushing off ] “Very good Lieutenant.” T’Saylar said. “If you will excuse me, I shall head to the Trinity.” She said. { After Lt. Billets responds } T’Saylar moved quickly towards the lift, and Trinity’s docking bay.by Mike Schell - Valdivian Station / USS Trinity
[ Reporting in ] T’Saylar walked across the hanger deck to the lift, and took it to station operations. After a few moments, and a dozen stops, the lift arrived at station operations. She stepped out of the lift, and looked around for the Captain, or the duty officer. She saw an officer who appeared to be directing personnel, so she decided to approach the Lieutenant and start with him.by Mike Schell - Valdivian Station / USS Trinity
[ Landing ] T’Saylar looked up a few moments later as the runabout approached the station. She watched as the runabout maneuvered into the landing bay, and breathed out a small breath of relief as the runabout made contact with the deck. She sat still as the crewmen around her began to stand, and crowd together by the hatch. [ Arriving soon ] T’Saylar glanced ever so slightly towards the sleeping crewman, and decided not to disturb him. She leaned her head back and closed her eyes for the duration of the flight. After an hour and a half, she heard the junior pilot speaking. “We apologize for the delay.” He said as he faced the passenger compartment. “We are on final approach to the station. [ On approach ] The light shimmy of the runabout brought T’Saylar our of her light sleep. She glanced around the compartment, and saw that most of the other passengers were preoccupied with the distractions of a long voyage. Some slept, and others read to pass the time. Thanks Lonewolf, it's good to be here. Can't wait to get started. Working on post 1 now.by Mike Schell - Valdivian Station / USS Trinity
Greetings all, I just wanted to drop a line and introduce myself to those who don't know me, and to say 'Hi' to all those who do. My name is Mike Schell, and I was a long time writer with Newsfleet a few years ago. I just joined up again, and will be playing the Diplomatic Officer. This ought to be fun, and a good challenge for me. I'm looking forward to posting with all of you. Now I'm ofby Mike Schell - Valdivian Station / USS Trinity
I've poked around with it a little bit, and I think it will be good. I say let's go with this, and see how we do with it. Like Lonewolf typed, we probably need to get going on the writing requirements and start moving towards a relaunch. We should probably set a start date to keep us on task for launch. I can commit to getting two posts minimum twice a week, and will try for more. Work is chby Mike Schell - USS Perseus
Sorry for going dark the last few days. What is the status of the board? Is there anything we can do to help out Mike?by Mike Schell - USS Perseus
I like it, it gives the board a fresh look. I'm with Lonewolf, next step would be to get logins and test it by poking around, layout of a sample ship, and some test posting to see how it holds up.by Mike Schell - USS Perseus
To make sure we don't lose momentum on this, I think those that are participating in the reboot should check in here at least once a week to keep up to date. Mike is there anything you want to assign out for us to do in getting the reboot underway?by Mike Schell - USS Perseus
That sounds very intriguing lonewolf. I'll be interested to learn more about your proposal.by Mike Schell - USS Perseus
Looks good as a template. I liked the DarkFX theme, still looking through the themes, but this looks good.by Mike Schell - USS Perseus
Space theme would be good too. Don't want to overload the system with a theme that is resource intensive. Where are you looking for themes?by Mike Schell - USS Perseus
I agree actually, I'm just a little anxious to get going I guess. We can use this for staging, and press for the new board. Email is also good, and might get more immediate responses during this phase.by Mike Schell - USS Perseus
I think I like the first template a little better myself. But both are good.by Mike Schell - USS Perseus
I’m onboard Mike, I will do what I can to help out. We can start with just the five of us, and reach out to recent players to see who else we can get for the reboot. It won’t hurt to ask them, and I think we will get some more to help out. We can just go through the ship rosters, and reach out to those who haven’t chimed in yet. I would recommend we keep using the current forum for noby Mike Schell - USS Perseus
I understand what you are saying Lone. I don't have time, or drive, to undertake a task like this. If someone is willing to take up the cause, I would do what I could to help out, but with no activity from April to now on the board, that isn't encouraging for a reboot. I guess there isn't much that can be done with Newsfeet, except a decommissioning. It was fun writing with you all. Good luck.by Mike Schell - USS Perseus
Exactly Lonewolf. The reboot approach is desperately needed here. With it, I think Newsfleet could be active, and successful again. I would get started on the streamlining, or rebooting of the board, now for new site activity. They might not be interested in doing this because Newsfleet is inactive, and see it as a waste of time. I don’t know that for sure obviously, but that might beby Mike Schell - USS Perseus
I decided to check in and see how things were going, and was surprised to see that Newsfleet is as dead as it is. That is too bad, it was a fun game when I participated. I hope no one minds, but I would like to leave my two cents worth on how to revive Newsfleet. Technology: I agree with previous posts about technology. [ Following the creatures ] Zio kept pace behind the group of creatures that were walking into the building. Far enough back that if he were noticed, he could get away without too much difficulty. He hoped that they would lead him somewhere useful. ’I wonder if the Perseus is even in orbit? Did they leave, and have the planet quarantined?’ Zio thought as he walked. [ On the bridge ] T’Seya finished securing OPS, and grabbed a PADD. T’Seya took a half dozen steps when she observed the bridge lighting dimm into an all familiar crimson color as the red alert klaxon started to sound throughout the bridge. [ Fitting in ] The lift doors opened, and T’Seya stepped out onto the bridge. She scanned the room, and noticed that the Captain was entering the conference room.
