Robert was pleased to find that his engineering cree had made an efficient start on getting the Trinity fully powered and prepared for departure, increasing the power generated by the warp core to bring the ship’s core systems to full readiness. I’d like to see some departmental cross-training so that everyone has at least a basic knowledge of what to do in their department in an emergency. Things like basic damage control, basic trauma care, defending against boarders. Although my posting rate dropped off considerably towards the end of the exercise, I really enjoyed it. It was a pretty extreme situation to suddenly be in and I think we handled it with some great writing. My only noteworthy issue is that I felt like there was a lot of stuff for some departments to do and much less for others. The reports weren’t reassuring. The deuterium was still being pumped out and without a manual override there was no way to stop it, save donning an EVA suit and physically decoupling the thieving vessel - a risk too great for Robert to comprehend with an unknown number of unidentified enemy vessels outside. “Right, pack up. No sooner had LtJg Zolar’s message finished Robert arrived in the labs, toolkit in hand, trailed by 6 engineers who quickly set about securing and hooking up Dr Keller’s medical equipment. “Someone’s stealing our deuterium,” Robert said, astonishment and disbelief in his voice. “Everyone spread out, get the outflow valves shut off. Try the control panels on each tank first, but if they’re offline thanks to the power surge then we’ll have to shut them down manually. The load bearing structures were reportedly still holding, but there was almost nothing functional. It looked like it was gutted by at least a couple of explosions. Our shields were down and we were hit by some kind of energy draining weapons They hit several areas, then immediately followed with a couple of hard hits. The damage control team we sent to Operations had to manually close access to the level. We've lost pressurization in a number of levels. Life Support is faltering and out on some levels. I initially applied to be the MO, but got posted as CEO presumably because of shortages. It helps that I am a doctor IRL - I’m a consultant in medical microbiology (an attending to the Americans among you) so although I’m not super familiar with trauma medicine - or a vast volume of the medical field - I’ve got a solid background in a reasonable breadth of things. =/\= Sir, we lost contact with OPS. I have also not been able to raise the Captain or XO. It is possible that they took damage. We saw an enormous power drain. The shields didn't register a hit from incoming weapons, but they were swiftly drained and then all hell broke loose. I can't say what the cause was, but it created a huge power inversion.
